Franchise Business Development Officer

We are seeking a Franchise Business Development Officer for our Chicago based bank with branches in Arizona.

Responsibilities:
As a Franchise Business Development Officer, you will identify new prospects to grow new relationships with franchise business owners. The business development officer will demonstrate a genuine interest in prospective and new customers and ask questions to understand their business operations, financial priorities and objectives. Franchise Business Development Officers also have a proactive outbound approach to educate and acquire new customers. Regular outbound activities include making calls, visiting local franchise businesses, and participating in networking activities (e.g., involvement in community organizations through committees or board assignments to expand their network of contacts and centers of influence.

You continue to prospect and network for new franchise business and understand the financial goals and priorities by completing a needs assessment. You will also understand the business goals and priorities so that appropriate business products and services options are presented and explained. This individual may assist with onboarding new clients and build strong relationships with other internal teams, bankers, and lines of business to deliver the full complement of the banks products and services that can help franchise business owners meet their financial needs.

Qualifications:
• Must have at least 5 or more years’ lending experience and prospecting Franchise owners as VP level or above
• Possess strong customer service skills; display a friendly, positive attitude
• Build relationships with franchise business owners that go beyond one interaction, focusing on their long-term needs
• Engage franchise business owners in meaningful financial conversations that include understanding what’s important to them
• Inform local franchise business owners of available options that may help them achieve their financial goals
• Proactively follow up on commitments to help ensure customer satisfaction and maintain ongoing financial conversations to help build meaningful relationships
