Summary
The Quality Assurance (QA) Officer will assist the QA Manager with the development and execution of a corporate-wide Quality Assurance Program (QA Program) for the Bank’s BSA/AML and OFAC Compliance Programs. The QA Officer will be responsible for conducting QA reviews of the Bank’s adherence to the core components of the BSA/AML and OFAC regulatory requirements, including, but not limited to CIP/CDD, EDD, Information Sharing, CTRs, OFAC, etc; new and existing products and services; and AML and OFAC controls and processes throughout the Corporation to identify potential deficiencies. The QA Officer will assist in preparing QA reports of review findings, recommended enhancements, and the status of corrective actions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of an AML and OFAC – Quality Assurance program that reflects industry best practices.
- Analyzes and communicates proposed enhancements to address identified risks or gaps in BSA/AML and OFAC compliance procedures and processes.
- Maintains a QA database containing the results of QA reviews and tracks recommended corrective actions.
- Assists in the preparation of regular reports on the results of the QA testing.
- Serves as a subject matter expert in AML and OFAC regulations, systems and reports.
- Serves as a mentor for the QA analysts.
- Assists in reviewing, testing, evaluating and documenting the adequacy of AML, OFAC and fraud mitigation controls as documented in the organization’s risk assessments.
- Assists with the quality control of alerts, cases, and suspicious activity reports (SARs).
- Recommends controls enhancements to the Bank’s AML, OFAC and Fraud Mitigation Compliance Program, policies and procedures.
- Provides feedback to business unit management and Financial Crimes Risk Management staff members with regard to the results of QA reviews.
- Provides training to business unit and supports personnel to address exam, audit or QA deficiencies.
- Assists in coordinating AML and OFAC internal audits and regulatory examinations.
- Complies with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations.

- Must know OFAC and Anti-Money laundering
